Code of Business Conduct and Ethics

The Company’s Employee Code of Conduct and Ethics serves as our official guide on proper decorum in the workplace. It outlines the accountabilities, disciplinary action process, violations, and corresponding sanctions. The Code promotes a just and fair environment through proper administration of the due process. It fosters a culture of compliance with the standards to support business growth. It provides empowerment in the organization to implement, drive, and counsel team members to ensure camaraderie and uphold morale.

Health, Safety, and Welfare of Employees

Our Environmental, Health and Safety Management Manual outlines our programs, rules, and regulations covering workplace efforts to protect the health and safety of employees, the public, and the environment from hazards that may arise from operations. 

Related-Party Transactions

It is the Board’s role to initiate policies and measures geared towards prevention of abuse and promotion of transparency, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations to protect the interest of all shareholders. One such measure is the required ratification by shareholders of material or significant Related-Party Transactions approved by the Board, in accordance with existing laws. Other measures include ensuring that transactions occur at market prices, at arm’s-length basis and under conditions that protect the rights of all shareholders.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Working with the Communities 

Giving back to the community starts even before our solar farms are installed. The business itself is set up to promote development in the countryside. Providing employment to the communities close to the project sites is at the heart of our manpower program, which continually combs the villages for talents capable of joining our team. As our farms generate livelihood for people in the communities, they boost the local economy and help stem the tide of workers leaving their hometowns. Our corporate social responsibility also finds various expressions in outreach activities that employees organize and actively take part in as part of continued efforts to build and nurture connections with the villages around our project sites. In selecting our corporate social responsibility initiatives, we jump at opportunities to help sow the seeds of broader awareness of renewable energy in communities even as we partner with them on various other concerns such as career development, tree planting, school maintenance campaigns, and gift-giving.  

Job fairs are held to get locals an opportunity to be part of Solar Philippines projects and help the local economy.
